Beyond the Project: Ensuring Sustainability Through Open Access

One of the greatest challenges of EU projects is sustainability—how to ensure that results continue to make an impact after the funding ends. AR-VET tackles this challenge head-on by adopting an open access philosophy.
What Does Open Access Mean for AR-VET?
All project outputs—AR training simulations, the e-learning platform, and the teacher’s handbook—will be freely available. This means that:
- VET schools across Europe can adopt the materials without extra cost.
- Teachers can adapt the resources to local curricula.
- Policymakers and businesses can use the simulations as reference tools for training and industry development.
Creating Long-Term Value
Sustainability also comes from networks. AR-VET partners are building a lasting stakeholder community of educators, industry representatives, and policymakers. This network will continue to exchange knowledge and update training content even after the project concludes.
Why It Matters
The open-access approach ensures that AR-VET’s impact is not limited by time or geography. By democratizing access to innovative training tools, the project helps build a stronger, greener, and more competitive European workforce.
Sustainability is not an afterthought—it is the foundation of lasting change.
